Portland Cityscape
Commissioned piece.
This is certainly not a view you can get in a photograph, with Mt. Hood in the background of downtown while viewed from the east. But with drawings, you can put anything wherever you like, and make sure you get all your favorite landmarks in one shot.
Below is my original practice sketch (based on a photo). The client decided he wanted more of a montage of Portland features, and the differences can be seen above.
